I have been here a few times now and overall this spot is very nice quiet and far from people and the campgrounds are spread out nicely. The road coming in from corn creek is probably 7/10 to rate the bumpiness of things 4x4 is suggested but not necessary unless its flooded out or heavy snow. We made it with a stock jeep compass FWD easily just be smart and avoid large dips and pointy rocks at high speeds. If youre coming in a standard suv truck jeep w.e deflate tires to avoid chance of popping. Weather can change in 30 minutes time so be prepared. if you need service drive the opposite way out towards sawmill and at around 8 miles youll get cell service enough for a text at least.
This campground is beautiful and I definitely recommend this place. However the drive to it is horrible and it will be a slow crawl all the way through (11 miles aprox.). It is recommended that you have a 4x4 vehicle and I will concur with that statement. That being said the drive is worth it if your going to stay there for more that just a few days. Also be advised that there are a few areas that you must be careful of rock slides and narrow paths. The wild life out there are not afraid of humans and will come up to your site and not think twice about you. Plan ahead and come prepared.
Nice, quiet out of the way camping! The road there can be rough but well worth the drive, even for a picnic. You'll want a 4x4 or high clearance 2wd... (no guarantees on the 2wd) super remote, pack it in and out. Nice sites with pads and fire rings.
Great campground with lots of space and a few camp sites all spread out nicely. We were the only ones out there at the time. The weather can change very quickly, as we learned on our second day. I'd suggest high clearance vehicle or 4x4 if you have it, and that goes for either direction you may take to the campground. We did it with a Jeep Compass fwd no problem..just took it easy. No running water out there. Pack it in and pack it out and enjoy!
Nice and quiet, had a great time. AWD CUV no problems making it.
